Whats Killing Our Dogs?

My Beagle (Copper) started having seizures four months ago and when I saw the first one I was scared to death. I heard of dogs having seizures but I never witnessed one. Once it was over it took a good hour for him to settle down… he just didn’t know what he wanted and was very confused. It didn’t seem like he was in any pain after the Seizure, but he was very whiney and walking around looking for something he couldn’t find. Once he settled down we laid on the floor in the living room trying to get some sleep… three hours later he sat up and began to pant. I could not see because it was dark, but I talked to him trying to comfort him only to have him fall over on me. He went stiff and began to twitch… all I could do is talk to him and cry. He ended up having three more before we could get him into the vet and the last one my wife videoed so we could show the vet. The Vet ran some blood work and ended up putting Copper on Phenobarbital which my research shows does help control Sei
