Whats it like travelling around Europe?
To the average Canadian it seems pretty glamorous. It’s so awesome. We just came from a month in Scandinavia, which was less glamorous. It was tough having sunlight only three or four hours a day and the food was pretty bad, but we just arrived in Central Europe and it’s amazing to have the sunlight; the food is great, the people are friendly. It’s so beautiful. Devon Kershaw is your teammate and boyfriend. What’s that like? Are there opportunities to do regular boyfriend-girlfriend things during the competition season? Well, the days seem just packed. We’ve got so much training to do and travelling. When we’re in a training camp we share a room, but when we’re racing we don’t usually share a room, because the girls’ race is two hours earlier than the boys’ race and he doesn’t want to wake up. I feel really lucky. Some of my other teammates do the long-distance thing and they’re frantically trying to find the phones and the internet. It’s really nice to have a solid relationship and ha
