The Google Taiwan Software Engineering and Sales office currently stands as Google’s tallest office, located in the Taipei 101 Tower. Since opening in March of 2006, this office continues to grow at a rapid pace. The Google Taipei team has three main initiatives: • Develop intelligent, improved Chinese search technologies/products. • Develop products that fit the demand of the Chinese markets, especially the Taiwan and Hong Kong markets. • Develop technologies/products to leverage the strength of the Taiwan IT industry. “We hope to integrate Taiwan’s advantages and Google’s powerful software technology and innovative culture to create world-class products,” commented Engineering Director Chien Lee-feng at the opening of Google Taiwan’s R&D Center.
