Whats it like to live in Queensland, Australia?
I agree with all the talk about relaxing and enjoying the laid back lifestyle. They are correct that Sydney and Melbourne have more to do but they are also just a short plane flight from Brisbane and one you can get pretty cheaply if necessary. The Sunshine Coast/Brisbane/Gold Coast is a great area to live with great shopping and theme parks (Dreamworld, SeaWorld, Movieworld, etc) world famous Australia Zoo and beautiful hinterlands. Within 2-3hours you are over the Great Dividing Range and into some gorgeous country areas like Stanthorpe (much cooler and known for apples and wine) Warwick (known for its Rodeo), Toowoomba a great big country town and further west into the outback. The top end of Queensland has Cairns a VERY laid back city with airport access to all of Australia and some overseas destinations. There is heaps more in between. It is a great place to live.
