Whats it like to live in Hartford, CT as a student?
Best city to live in rankings are a dime a dozen. A reputable firm (Mercer) did a global ranking by quality of living. Now this ranking was not for students. I suspect it was for business executives. Having said that, the cities listed above would all be fantastic as a grad student. You would need to balance quality of living against cost of living, though, which can be tough for students. Some universities are in towns dominated by the university. Ann Arbor is a wonderful place like that. The university is big enough to draw arts and culture to it. Madison and Austin are similar; but, both of those cities are bigger and have industries that have grown up in par
