Whats it like to be a bobble-head now?
You’ve got your own Fat Albert bobble-head. THOMPSON: That’s crazy. It’s like, I don’t really play sports and I’ve got a bobble-head. Never thought I’d be a bobble-head, but little did I know. (Laughs) Q. What in particular did you like about the Fat Albert cartoon? A particular character, or one particular aspect of it? THOMPSON: I like just the idea of the atypical hero being Fat Albert. It was really creative of Bill to go in that direction for a hero. You know, he’s not the muscle-bound guy or whatever. It’s just the fact that Fat Albert only wanted to solve problems and he had those guys around him so in check. I mean, everybody ran with Fat Albert because Fat Albert’s cool. I also loved Mushmouth! Mushmouth is just the greatest ever. And the Brown Hornet was cool. Brown Hornet was really, really funny. Bill Cosby is just a funny dude and it all came across in the cartoon.
