Whats it like on campus for Shabbat and Holidays?

The Queens College Hillel is happy to provide students with the opportunity to celebrate Shabbat in different ways that are meaningful to them. We encourage you to get involved, whether it be through Shabbat on Campus or through Shabbat Your Way. Shabbat on Campus involves a festive Shabbat meals for more than 170 students each month. Students enjoy the warmth and camaraderie regardless of their level of practice or brand of Judaism. Shabbat Your Way is an opportunity to celebrate Shabbat for students who either live, dorm, or stay in the vicinity of the Queens College campus for Shabbat. There is an active community of students who stay in the area for Shabbat, and student hospitality and student-led Shabbat services are available. The Queens College Campus is closed for the High Holidays and Passover. The Hillel provides for all student needs during the remainder of the Jewish holidays, and Rabbi Shur is always around to answer questions.
