Whats it like mixing golf and soccer?
Well, golf has always been a passion of mine, and it’s my primary sport, but I have a lot of close friends who play soccer that asked me to come back. As a senior, I just thought it would be the right thing to do and something I could remember. It gets tiring staying in shape for soccer while practicing golf. Sometimes, I’ll drive separately from a match straight to a game, but the coaches understand, and they’ve worked with me. How do you and your teammates feel about playing matches at Oakmont Country Club? I think we almost take it for granted, but we’re fortunate Oakmont lets us do that and our school was able to make those arrangements. Other teams really appreciate it when they come play us there. I know somebody from Northgate requested to come with the team because it was the only time he was ever going to be able to step foot on the course, so that keeps it in perspective. I’m already a caddy there, so I’m pretty used to it. Kayla Zboran School: Freeport Class: Sophomore Sport
