Whats it been like shooting for Santosh Sivans Ashoka?
I think it’s the most eagerly awaited event of my life. Shooting for it was like a dream. I’m awaiting its release with bated breath. Santosh Sivan is simply brilliant. Working with him is something else. I’m told the film has shaped up really well. Shah Rukh saw the rushes and he said I was looking good. Tell me, on an average, how many films are you offered every week? What do you mean? I don’t have people coming to me with routine roles. One of the few films I’ve signed will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Sanjay Dutt is my co-star. It should start sometime this year. How will Sanjay Dutt and you look together? It isn’t a conventional love story. We’re both blind in the film so he could be any age. Anyway, love nowadays doesn’t necessarily mean that the couple has to look perfectly matched. As an actress, I’m thoroughly uncomfortable with the hand-holding kind of love being portrayed in our films. Why aren’t you signing any more films? Well, I’m always open to good offers. But one
