Whats involved in a Colonic Hydrotherapy session?
A detailed case history is taken before any treatment is started to ensure suitability for treatment, likely benefit and to screen for conditions where one would be advised to seek medical assistance. As such, this initial session usually lasts about an hour & half, and further treatments are about an hour. The warmed, sterilised and purified water is introduced through a special tube into the rectum at a low pressure. This is either from a gravity feed system or precisely regulated low pressure pump. The water is simultaneously allowed to drain out through a relief hole with the waste matter, to maximise flow and minimise any build up of pressure. The therapist then uses particular massage techniques to the abdominal area to stimulate the release of gas, mucous and impacted waste, enabling the elimination of these toxic materials.
