What’s included in the funding for design template projects?
Template budgets include design and construction costs, project management fees and other standard costs. A contingency amount covers unforeseen costs. Costs for templates are being managed on a statewide basis. This approach recognises that costs will vary across individual schools. For example, a school may encounter rock or soil issues, or need to extend its water, gas or electricity services. It would not be fair for this individual school to have to forego part of its facility in order to meet this extra cost, so such cost have been allocated across all projects. All money allocated by the Commonwealth Government for construction of P21 projects will be used for this purpose.
