Whats in the water – theres babies popping out all over the place in the industry?
That’s right – Omar Sattar, Johnny Hallett, Skip Swartz, Colin Glover, Mike De Mug and there’s more … it’s endless. A lot of us are no longer spring chickens. It’s also a reflection of where most of us are in our careers – we’re stable enough to start families and it’s now clear there’s a viable career path. It was somewhat of a meteoric rise for you with CBRE? It doesn’t feel like it – but looking back I suppose it was. It was around three years ago that my predecessor left and I was asked to take over. I was pretty wet behind the ears at the time. A lot’s happened in the meantime – we’ve got to the stage where we’ve completely outgrown this office and desperately need to move. We’ve got 26 people now and are constantly recruiting. Do you see yourself here long term? I certainly don’t see it as short term. There are enough challenges for the next five years.
