Whats in it for LIPA, or in other words, whats the catch?
A. As a partner with LIPA you will permit LIPA to adjust your thermostat for 4 hours in the afternoon (2 – 6 p.m.) for up to 7 days during the summer (June through September). LIPA will not shut off your central air conditioner, just lower its use. Also, we will not turn off your fan, so that cool air can continue to circulate through your home/business.
