Whats Hotheads company strategy going forward?
One thing, if you want to say, that is something that we’re going to be known for is humor in video games — funny games. We did it in our past careers with the games that I worked on. Hulk: Ultimate Destruction wouldn’t be known as the comedy of the year, but if you play the game, the team [at Radical Entertainment, where many of Hothead’s staff worked previously] put in a lot of humor. And Crash Bandicoot — some of the guys had worked on that. Coming here, right out of the gate, we naturally had a relationship with Penny-Arcade, and created a game that I think was funny as hell. And now, DeathSpank [pictured above], which you see is bizarre. It’s got Ron Gilbert’s humor which is very unique and will have many, many gamers laughing out loud. 1UP: Do you think you guys will ever move into retail games, or are you happy with the download space? VC: We focused earlier on digital because we were small and that was something we could handle on our own. It really depends on the game…some
