Whats hot in green building right now?
SH: Building performance is what is hot in green building. And we are focusing our efforts in this area by creating a partnership with LEED building owners, users and managers. Through the Building Performance Partnership, we are connecting the line between design potential and actual performance by connecting the people that manage and use the buildings. We’re doing this by providing feedback on how buildings are performing and by creating a dynamic discussion of the issues through our chapter community. I am very excited about this particular issue and it is an absolute priority of ours. Another hot issue is that we’re focusing more on communities. So we’re bringing community more to our green building rating systems and green building more to our community rating system which is known as LEED for Neighborhood Development.
