With hot GPS, the software keeps GPS chipset from cooling down between fixes, thus keeps it ‘hot’, resulting in quicker position fixing. Hot GPS will drain more battery power (about 50% more). To change the hot GPS setting, on main AccuTracking screen, press the menu key (the key with the popup menu icon) on the phone keypad, select “Setup…”.
