Whats Happening with “Italian Job” Sequel?
About a year ago, we caught up with producer Donald De Line to find out about the status of “The Italian Job” sequel. He said that he’s had talks with Paramount Pictures and is hoping to get the film going within a year. De Line added that even though the cast doesn’t have it in their contracts to return for the sequel, they have all expressed interest in reprising their roles. Well it’s now a year later and there’s still nothing happening. So ComingSoon got in touch with “Italian Job” director F. Gary Gray to see if he has heard anything. “I think it’s really just about getting the material in the right place,” he said. “Sequels are tough and you always want to top the original, and I think that’s where the energy is being put into developing a script that is just as good, if not better, than the first.” He added that he would love the chance to direct the sequel. “If you’re on a movie, it depends on scheduling, that whole thing, but I certainly hope so,” Gray said. “I loved directing
