Whats happening to the theatre area in Stratford upon Avon?
The theatre area in Stratford upon Avon has enjoyed huge investment in recent years. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre is nearing completion of its £113m redevelopment. To complement this work, the Local Authorities have secured regional development funding for major enhancement works to the Bancroft Gardens, now complete, and to Waterside and Southern Lane, which will be finished in Autumn 2010. The finished scheme will see a world class environment, much more accessible to visitors with slower traffic and wider pavements.
