What’s happening on the West Coast main line?
A. The West Coast mainline is Britain’s busiest mixed use railway and we will continue to invest in it to safeguard the improved passenger and freight services now on offer. In responding to increased demands on the railway we will see engineers working at various locations up and down the line. Including in, particularly at Rugby where re-modelling and enhancement works that will further improve journey times and increase capacity. The work will include new platforms and 4th track.
