What’s happening in Miami during the month of November?
Business leaders of 34 democratically elected nations from North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean will converge in Miami during November 17-19, 2003, to participate in the VIII Americas Business Forum. This event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Miami – James L. Knight Center – 400 S.E. Second Avenue, Miami, Florida. During November 19-21, the Foreign Trade Ministers from these 34 nations will then be meeting in Miami to move the deliberations forward for the Free Trade Area of the Americas agreement to eventually become a reality. The Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) favors the progressive elimination of trade and investment barriers across the Western Hemisphere and would create an economic union that is twice the size of the European Economic Union.
