Whats for dinner, dear, before we talk fires?
Columnist Logan Jenkins was half right with his comment “When it comes to wildfires, men are from Mars and women are for getting out of Dodge.” Yes, when my wife heard that residents of Chula Vista might be asked to evacuate, she immediately started boxing up old photos and dog food ready to flee. I myself, on the other hand, flew to Denver on business. This is probably the reason I have not had a home-cooked meal for several weeks. We live in North Park across the street from St. Augustine Academy. In recorded history, no Santa Ana inspired fire has ever, or will ever, advance to within 10 miles of here.
