Whats eating my Hosta leaves?
A. The pests eating your Hosta leaves are most likely slugs and/or snails. Slugs and snails like dark, damp areas, feed at night and prefer tender new growth. They also feed on seedlings, delphiniums, dahlias, French marigolds and some vegetables. The pests leave ‘silvery slime trails’ on the leaves or ground where they have crawled. Controlling slugs is best done during spring and fall, but can be done anytime.
