Whats easy (and inexpensive) way to decorate a holiday dinner table?
Francine: I’ve got three suggestions for simple holiday table decorations: 1. Bring the Christmas tree trimmings to the table! Set your favorite ornaments into a large glass bowl at the center of the table, or arrange them on a bed of tinsel or garland. 2. Gingerbread House deconstructed. Who has time to bake and decorate a gingerbread house?! Instead, put all those pretty holiday candies in a glass bowl. Candy make a gorgeous centerpiece … and after dinner, it’s dessert too! 3. Edible centerpieces. Instead of expensive flowers, make a fruit arrangement. Cluster pears and lady apples in the center of the table and garnish them with scattered dried cranberries. Use any fruit you can find this time of year…clementines and pomegranates make a nice combo too. Nuts also make a great centerpiece.
