Whats does “archived hits” mean and how does that affect my counter totals?
Archiving your hits doesn’t affect your totals at all. You have 2 different sets of counter statistical screens. One is called “Historical Data” and then you have your regular statistical screens. The ONLY difference between the two is that you don’t have the capability to filter data in your historical screens. When we record your hits your counter log will look like this: 8/31/96;6;14;http://207.171.0.230/;204.83.169.201;http://207.171.0.230/;Mozilla/2.0 (Win16; I) 8/31/96;6;14;http://207.171.0.230/forum/;204.83.169.201;http://207.171.0.230/forum/#subscribe;Mozilla/2.0 (Win16; I) 8/31/96;6;15;http://207.171.0.230/;ax2-p14.getnet.com;http://207.171.0.230/#beyond;Mozilla/3.0b5aGold (Win95; I) 8/31/96;6;15;http://207.171.0.230/;clv-oh8-14.ix.netcom.com;;NetCruiser/V2.1.1 Each hit has the date, day of week, time of day, page, visitor, referred link and browser information stored together on the same line. As you can see the page http://207.171.0.230/index.html appears on 3 of the 4 hits.
