Whats cookin at the Ronald McDonald House?
(click here for information sheet) Preparing meals and baked goods for the families staying at Ronald McDonald House is much appreciated. Your efforts help take the burden off of many families that do not have the time or energy to do so themselves. Groups preparing meals can expect to cook for 35-40 people. While they may not all sit down to eat when the meal has been prepared, many will enjoy the leftovers that are placed in the community refrigerator. What can groups expect when they come to the House to prepare a meal? Groups need to bring the food items their recipes require. Groups should check in at the office to: • meet the staff person on duty • give your group’s name and other information to the staff person • ask the office volunteer for parking permits if you parked your car(s) in the House’s parking lot • request a short tour and orientation to the House • leave coats, purses, etc. in the office area Groups can then cook their meal or prepare their baked goods.
