This is kind of an off-topic blog, but I think it’s a fascinating conversation. I go to a lot of games through the course of the year. Whether it’s baseball, football, basketball, hockey, or anything else, I’m a sports nut. So naturally I resent hearing non-sports people criticize teams, owners, etc. for anything. But more and more, I’m hearing about people talk about not wanting to go to games because of the cost associated with going. Admittedly, it’s not as cheap as it used to be. But let’s keep in mind that the Orioles sell tickets for $9 in the left field grandstand. If you can’t afford to spend $9 to go to a game, then you probably shouldn’t be complaining. Whenever I mention that, people’s comments are that you then have to pay for concessions. Well with the Orioles, you…um, kind of don’t. Like many ballparks across the country, Oriole Park at Camden Yards allows you to bring your own food into the ballpark. I’ve brought my lunch with me many times. You can get two decent sized
