Whats Better Ocean Wave Energy Generation, or Wind Turbine Power?
There seems to be a huge push in the world towards wind power, and when people talk about eco-innovations, and alternative energy inventions, they often talk about solar and wind power in the same breath, but they aren’t the same, except for the fact that neither is really truly reliable energy. It seems almost ridiculous to me to put forth a huge amounts of dollars in research for solar and wind technologies knowing that they are currently inefficient, and unreliable. Indeed, I think it was a Nobel Prize winner who made a joke once in a seminar I attended; he said that “the sun notoriously doesn’t shine at night” – and everyone laughed, and then he said but it’s generally a little windier at night and therefore when you put solar and wind together as alternative energy sources they balance each other out.
