Whats better – 12 Angry Men or Dog Day Afternoon?
12 Angry Men was better for its time, but I wouldn’t consider it to be very powerful in the modern era, since we now know a long more about peer pressure, conformity, eyewitness testimony, etc. Still a great film though. Dog Day Afternoon still has a good feel to it, now as much as ever. It’s not just about the social issues, but also the tension of being in that situation. More entertaining for an evening’s watch, in my opinion.
