Phew! Now there’s a question. With so many models available for all floor types and at all budgets, it’s quite impossible to narrow it down in a general sense. It would be easier to catagorise all the different types available and then make a short list based on functionality and value for money. Even today, the vacuum cleaners in our house are still refereed to as Hoovers, irrespective of whether they were genuine Hoovers of not. Of course, the name ‘Hoover’ is synonymous with the first ever Hoover invented which was the model 0, way back in 1907. It was introduced to the world by a man named Murray Spangler, who was a janitor in a local department store.
