Whats being done to enhance the security around the Kingston Pike Building Building?
Four cameras will be installed on the exterior walls to monitor all entrance ways and the parking lot. UT Police will lock the back gate each night at 7:00 p.m. and open it again the next morning at 7:00 a.m. The front gate will remain open at all times. The Kingston Pike Building parking area will be patrolled by UT Police during normal rounds. Additionally UT police can be called after hours to escort someone to their car. Emergency blue phones will be installed in the front and back parking lots. A fire hydrant is also being installed at the back of the building for additional fire protection. The property is fenced on three sides. As always staff should be aware of their surroundings and report anything that seems out of the ordinary.
