If nothing else works, run the System Restore wizard and set it back to a time before everything went wrong. You’ll have to reinstall any software added since this date (choose the most recent time that it worked fine) but be aware that a recent installation may be the cause of your problems so if it starts doing it again after you install one of your programs, then you’ll have to remove this program. Also be aware that there is a trojan that mimics the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death), one clue to this is that with this trojan you can get out of it by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL, you can’t from the real BSOD. If you get any pop-up that suggests that you download antivirus software, do so but not from the links it presents, this is a scam to get your credit card number.
