The biggest differences are the speed of the game and the skill of the players. There is also a different toughness about the players at this level. The intensity level is so much greater. What did you gain by coming in for summer school and going through the summer strength and conditioning program? I came in kind of heavy at 191 pounds and I lost a lot of weight. By the end of the summer, I was down to 172 pounds and in much better condition. I put in a lot of work, as did all the guys on the team, and I’m happy with the results. With so many new faces playing together for the first time, how would you rate the chemistry of the team right now? With all seven freshmen coming in early for summer school and all the returning guys around as well, summer was a great time for us to get to know each other.
