Whats another way of saying, “thats personal sorry”?

Your teacher may need to know this information to know which one of your parents it is easier to call at work. Asking what your parents do is a completely normal question so I’m not sure why you wouldn’t just answer it. Even those of us that work for the government in security jobs, the job title is public knowledge and even spies have cover jobs that they tell people. Your teacher wouldn’t call your dad in the morning if she knew he worked nights. Don’t brush off a question like that. If you say something like “that’s boring” you come across as rude. Instead say something like my parents don’t feel comfortable with me answering such questions. Playing dumb and saying something like “it’s something to do with____” is also ok. But really that’s odd that you feel that way. You shouldn’t be embarrassed of your parents. They are working hard for you to live the life you are living. If your parents are just sitting around waiting for the welfare check, yes I’d understand and be embarrassed

What is your question?

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
