Whats an opium derivative?
Opium is a natural compound collected from the opium poppy, kind of like how latex comes from trees or hashish from cannabis. Its a combination of lots of different materials all mixed together some of which are what give opium its medicinal/sedative/narcotic properties. An opium derivitive is a compound made using some of the materials from opium and often some other stuff. They are usually pain killers or anaesthetics or narcotics.
