Whats an OEM?
——————- Original Equipment Manufacturer. Most hard drives are manufactured by a handful of OEMs, such as Conner, IBM, Fujitsu, Quantum, Seagate, and Western Digital. In turn, they sell the guts of the drives to resellers that package the drives with cables and software (and cases, for external drives). APS, ClubMac, LaCie, and MegaHaus are just a few of the resellers that repackage OEM drives.
