Whats an impact crater?
Scientists would love to study the impact craters on the moon. What are impact craters? These are craters on the surface of the moon created when meteorites slammed into it’s surface creating a tremendous impact. Unlike the earth, the moon’s surface is relatively unchanged over thousands of years providing a record of what could be part of earth’s own past.
