Whats all this stuff Ive heard about points?
CFCA encourages all members to participate in as many events during the year as possible and to become involved in directly supporting those events. The clubs previous points structure, which was geared more towards competitive events, was disbanded at the end of 2002 in order to simplify the complex accounting task. As of 2003, member participation is accounted for simply by signing the NCCC Liability Waiver form at all meetings and events. At the conclusion of each year, the top 10% of our members, as evidenced by their participation in club events, receive an award at our annual Christmas party. The CFCA Competition Director maintains an accounting of participation and attendance and communicates this information to the Board as a means to gauge the success of a particular event. For additional details, please refer to CFCAs Standard Operating Procedures document under the headings Member Participation and Contributions and Awards.
