Whats about the progress in the cooperation between the Bank and BBVA-its strategic investor?
In 2008, the Bank pushed ahead its strategic cooperation with BBVA in various fields including corporate banking, investment banking, international business, treasury market business, private banking, risk management and talent exchange. With the regular meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Committee, the senior management of the two sides kept smooth communication with each other, thus jointly boosting the continuous and intensified cooperation in various fields. In view of great confidence in the future development of banking industry and the promising prospects for mutual cooperation, BBVA has increased its shares of the Bank. On February 10, 2009, BBVA accomplished the relevant settlement formalities with CITIC, increasing its shares of the Bank from 4.83% to 10.07%.
