What’s a typical day onboard Kipper?
We normally try to get ablutions and breakfast out of the way by 0900 and then have a briefing on the morning’s exercises before casting off by 1000. We then either anchor of pick up a mooring for lunch at around 1300 before another briefing and afternoon exercises. Unless we’re going for a night sail, we’re normally moored up for the night by about 1800 or 1900. If we are going for a night sail, we usually have supper at anchor or on a mooring first and, depending on the time of sunset, are out on the water, in the dark, for 2-4 hours.
