What’s a Regional Distribution Organization?

0

Regional Distribution Organizations are smaller food banks located in counties distant from our facility in Baltimore that distribute food they receive from us and from food donors in their counties to community food providers. The Maryland Food Bank provides food to six regional distribution organizations: Community Action Food Bank (Harford County), Garrett County Food Resources, Western Maryland Food Bank, Food Resources (serving Washington and Frederick Counties), Howard County Food Bank, and Southern Maryland Food Bank (serving Calvert, Charles, and Saint Mary’s Counties).
