Whats a reasonable price for a pet tarantula? And where can I get one?
The best tarantula in my opinion is the red kneed kind. A 20 gallon terrarium is huge for these guys. If she gets one, please know that they shed their entire skin once a year and if you see it in the cage, you can mistake it for the actual spider! When I owned one years ago it freaked me out because no one had told me about that part. They make wonderful pets. You can get one at pet stores that sell reptiles, usually. They mix spiders, scorpions, etc. in with the snakes, etc. Unfortunately, I had to sell mine back to the store where I bought her because I became allergic to her when I became pregnant…true story. I actually made a profit on her because she had grown…One more note: they eat pinky mice that are alive when you feed it. You have to be okay with that…good hunting!
