Whats a good website to buy turtles besides turtlesale.com?
First, I’m assuming you don’t want to buy from turtlesale.com because you’ve read the horrible reviews. Unfortunately, I’m not sure there is a truly good turtle seller on the Internet. The problem with buying a turtle on the internet is that you’ll have to ship it. Summer is beginning in much of the country ( I live in the deep south) and it is inhumane to ship a turtle while it is too hot or too cold. Turtles are cold blooded and must bask in sunlight or hide in shade to properly regulate their body temperature. Shipping turtles is tricky business because of finding a way to secure the turtle. Give it too much room and it’ll bounce around and get banged up and die. Confine it too much and it’ll be horribly stresses and die. That being said lllreptile.com is one of the few sites I’ve seen good reviews on but their turtle selection is small. It’s mostly tortoises. I would read up whatever you can find on the other websites you may stumble across on the internet and also check their rati
