I don’t know how far you want to go back, but I’ve always loved the song “My Promise” by the Temptations! It’s not very old, probably came out in the 90’s, it’s on their “Phoenix Rising” CD. It was the first dance at my wedding, and it’s a ballad. All the other songs I keep coming up with are processionals, not recessionals.
I only have one recommendation and I think it’s an amazing song. It’s new, and it’s not playing on the radio, but it’s unbelievable. It’s called ‘Golden’ buy Chrisette Michelle. She also sings a song called ‘If I had my way’. It’s being played on the radio now.
