Whats a good high-end package?
Editors all over the place swear by Avid, but it sure is pricey. Tell me about NLE software The Radius EditDV package consists of the aforementioned card and software that’s best noted for not being Premiere 4.2. Premiere 4.2 is a bit notorious in the industry; everyone has it, but few like it due to persistent problems, especially with audio. But if you get a video editing package, especially one for the PC, you’ll almost certainly be dealing with Premiere. (This was, understandably, a majore reason why I picked EditDV). Premiere 5.0 is said to be a real breakthrough. We’ll see. Macromedia Final Cut was going to give Premiere some competition, but they have apparently sold it to Apple as part of QuickTime. This will be both a PC and a Mac product. Strata VideoShop is another interesting newcomer, also for the Mac.
