Whats a good drink recipe?
I am sure that a lot of people are thinking about alcoholic type drinks when they see this title but I am not a drinker at all except for an occasional Bloody Mary or when we go to a good Mexican Restaurant I like a Margarita. As a diabetic and a person who can gain weight while walking ten miles, I am always looking for healthy drink recipes that are low in carbs and calories, but good for you too. My dietitian at the Rose Diabetes Center in Denver sends out little support letters each month and a lot of times she includes a recipe that is diabetes friendly. This smoothie recipe is one of the best I have gotten so far. It is very flexible too in what berries you can use that are good for you. Since blueberries are very high in anti-oxidants, and are on sale a lot, I sometimes substitute blueberries for your strawberries but it is good either way. Also a lot of times I make a double or triple recipe so my family can enjoy it too. They don’t have diabetes but it sure won’t hurt them and
