Whats a good 40 yard dash time for a wing in rugby union?
well in the countries where rugby is played it is mainly done by 100m times rather than 40 yard dash. also unlike the nfl there are not events like the combine and draft where every aspect of a player is analyzed and teams see if the player is worth a pick, instead most teams scout out schools for players around the ages of 13 and 14 and take them into their acadamies, from here they have a direct influence on the players progression and if he continues to impress through the years he will get a contract, normally between the ages of 17 and 20. also pure speed is not as much of an asset in rugby as it is in the nfl as in rugby you need to be a more all round player, so speed is not documented as much. there are a few 100m times in circulation however, Brian Habana and Rupeni Caucau who are known as being two of the faster if not faster players in world rugby have clocked 100m times around the 10.2 or 10.3 mark but i dont know how that converts to 40 yards sorry. i think that 4.47 would
