Whats a companys financial “track record” over time?
Grandpa Bert tells the cousins that company financial results for a quarter or a year, standing on their own, don’t tell the whole story. Investors want to compare how a company does over time—to see if the company has a record of making more money from one quarter to the next, and one year to the next. Investors also want to see how net profit margins compare over time.
