Whats a circuit judge?
We are assigned to a particular circuit of courts and may sit at any of the Crown and county courts on that circuit. Circuit judges are normally appointed to hear both criminal and civil cases. Candidates need to have had the right of audience in a Crown Court or county court for at least 10 years. They are normally aged between 45 and 60 and should be of good health and character.
