Whats a Christian to Do with Harry Potter?
Connie Neal has done a wonderful job of analyzing the Harry Potter series from both a literary and a Biblical point of view. It is a great reference, loaded with facts. The book begins by stating that people will never agree on whether the series is good or bad for children from a Christian point of view. The author is a writer, has worn several hats in the religious community, is married with 3 school aged children, and has read all the Harry Potter books to date. She begins by printing letters from other people, of different ages, lifestyles, both sexes, and both sides of the argument. She then gives some background of the characters and terms in the books. Throughout the mysteries of all the Harry Potter books runs the theme of the fight between good and evil, she says. The debate can focus on fabricated information and untruths.
