WhaTO PARENTS: Honestly, do you read your 15-year-old-nearly-16-y/o-teen… text messages without permissio?
Without permission? Don’t make me laugh! If I have reason to suspect my teen of something then yes I would read their text messages. It is not callous snooping if you sense your child might be doing something dangerous or might be engaging in wrongful activities. If I am paying the cell phone bills then it is actually my cell phone, and if you are going to text stupid things and don’t want to get caught, maybe it is best to talk on the phone instead. I wouldn’t just read my kids’ text messages out of curiosity though if they didn’t give me any reason to suspect anything. Only if I thought there might be something going on. It is called being a good parent to know what your kids are up to, and with the technology these days, us parents now need less help catching our kids being idiots. EDIT: It is not a crime to go through your childrens’ things whoever thinks that……if you are a parent and your child is a minor it is not against the law, I don’t know where you came up with that one,
